Ronald J. Tallo, 73, of Dunmore, passed away Friday afternoon, July 31, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the former Betty Ann Turbolski Tallo from Eynon , with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.

Born on May 28, 1942, Ron was raised in Dunmore, he was the son of the late Frank and Connie Mastronardi Tallo.

Ron worked at the Giant grocery market for many years before opening Tallo’s Restaurant, of which he owned for 18 years. He enjoyed spending all of his time with his grandchildren and never missed any of their sporting events. Ron also was an avid N.Y. Giants, N.Y. Yankees, and Penn State Nittany Lion fan.

He is also survived by his son, Dean Tallo and wife Lisa, his granddaughters, Deanna, Carly, Gina, Lisa, and Carissa Tallo, his sister, Diane Patchcoski and husband Joe, nephew David Patchcoski and wife Kelly, niece Dana Abda and husband, Mike. He also has been loved by his numerous nieces and nephews along with his great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Tallo.

The funeral will be Monday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc. 318 East Drinker Street in Dunmore with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith Street in Dunmore. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Dunmore.

Friends may call Sunday from 4pm-7pm.

To the Loving Family of Ronnie,
I offer my sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Ronnie. I recently saw him and his wife, Betty Ann. Always had a nice smile and a kind word. RIP, friend. I remember the fun times when we were growing up and shared nice times with your sister, Diane.I loved being at the Tallo house. So warm and comfortable

My heart is saddened by the loss of Ron we ho was a caring and wonderful friend. He took me under his wing especially after my father died. Rest in peace and know you were very loved. God Bless T
