Ross Patrick Palermo, Jr., Scranton, died Monday after being stricken ill at home.  Born in Scranton, son of the late Ross P. Sr. and Louise Massetti Palermo, he attended Dunmore public schools, and prior to retirement was employed by the Dunmore DPW for 25 years.  He loved baseball, especially the New York Yankees, and in his younger years he excelled at the sport.  He also was an excellent tennis player and won numerous tournaments.
