Marion H. “Tootsie” Farris, 79, of Dunmore, died Thursday morning. Her husband, John P. “Ches” Farris died December 17, 2000.The couplehad been married for 47 years.

Born in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late Leo and
Christine McGraw Mills and was a graduate of Dunmore High School. She was a
member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish and prior to retirement she was a
seamstress in the local garment industry.

She was a founding member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the
Sherwood Youth Association and a member of the former Dunmore Chorus. She and
her husband traveled extensively and she also traveled with her children and
grandchildren to various Caribbean Islands. She enjoyed her trips to the
casinos with family and friends but she especially enjoyed spending her summers
at Moosic Lake fishing and spending her winters in Florida and Puerto Rico with
her family. She loved her grand-dog, Rebel Sierra but most importantly was
spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving is a son, John W. and wife Sally, Dunmore and a
daughter, Doreen Konopka and husband Richard, Boca Raton, Fl.

Grandchildren; John W. Farris, Jr. and wife Amy; Christopher
Farris and wife Jessica, Holly Timlin and husband Michael, Kristina Petrauskas
and husband Ren, all of Dunmore and Justin Konopka, Boca Raton, Fl.   Great-Grandchildren, Emma, Erin, Harrison,
Lucy and Violet.

 A brother, Michael
Mills and wife Faith, Nicholson and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Al, Sylvester,
Raymond, Thomas and Pete Mills.

The funeral will be Monday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis
Funeral Home, Inc. 318 E. Drinker St. Dunmore with Mass at 9:30am in St. Mary’s
Church, Chestnut St., Dunmore.

Interment, Dunmore Cemetery

Friends may call Sunday from 3-7pm

R.I.P. Aunt Toosie. Saw glad I got to talk to you a few months ago.
