Mary M. Yakubisin, 91, Dunmore, died Saturday in the Jewish Home.

She was the widow of George Yakubisin, who died in 1992.

Born in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Sebastiana Falluzza Naro.

She attended Dunmore Public Schools and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Dunmore and it’s Altar & Rosary Society.

Prior to retirement she was employed by Golo Footwear, Dunmore.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, who enjoyed family gatherings, playing cards, doing jig-saw puzzles and trips to Atlantic City.

Her family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Minora and the staff of the 2nd floor of the Jewish Home for all their compassionate Care.

Surviving are a daughter, Marianne Vergnetti and husband, Peter, Dunmore and a son, George Yakubisin and wife, Jildete, Dunmore. Four grandsons, Peter, Joseph and Anthony Vergnetti and George Yakubisin. A sister, Nancy Gatto, Dunmore and two brothers, Joseph Naro  and wife, Lillian, Throop and James Naro, Dunmore and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Catherine Tuzze and Josephine Scarantino and five brothers, Louis, Michael, Sam, Ross and Anthony Naro.

The funeral will be Friday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 East Drinker St., Dunmore, with mass at 9:30 A.M. in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, Dunmore. Interment  in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Dunmore.

Friends may call Thursday from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Dear Marianne and family, I am very sorry for your loss and will pray that God give you courage to move on with your journey in this time of sorrow.
Marianne, you have been a wonderful daughter to your mother. She will be with you forever in your heart. God Bless.
