Josephine M. Ross, 91, Dunmore, died Wednesday evening in Hospice Community Care in Dunmore.  She was the widow of the late Joseph A. “Gigi” Ross who died July 26, 2008. They had been married for 65 years.

 Born in Dunmore, daughter of the late Joseph and Vita Coviello Rinaldi, she was a graduate of Dunmore High School and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Dunmore.  Prior to retirement, she worked in the local garment industry and was a member of the ILGWU. 

 She was a dedicated, loving, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose smile lit up the room every time her family came to visit.  Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought tremendous love and joy into her life.  Her daily satisfaction was cooking and baking Italian delicacies for all her family throughout her life.

Surviving are sons Joseph and wife Terry, Kingston; Robert and wife Lucille, Dunmore; William, Hollisterville; and Dennis and wife Lisa, Dunmore; grandchildren Penni Gaughan and husband Joe, Scranton; Robert Ross and wife Roxanne, Throop; David Ross and wife Jennifer, Pittsburgh; Brian Ross and wife Heather, Clarks Summit; Lisa Ross and companion Tony Harrington, Dunmore; Jennafer Vande Vegte and husband Richard, Michigan; William Ross and wife Rose, North Carolina; Christopher, Matthew and Joseph Ross, all of Dunmore; Lauren Ross, West Chester; and Patrick Ross, Dunmore;  great-grandchildren Grace and Joseph Gaughan; Tyler and Cayden Ross; A.J., Nicky, and Anna Clare Ross; Kenndra, Angelina and Nico Ross; Gregory, Jeremy and Renee Harrington; and Aleena Josephine and Sienna Vande Vegte; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

 She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter Faith Ross; sisters Maime Gennet, Bernetta Telesco, Mildred DelVecchio, Grace Demko Gross, and Christine Cox; and brothers Andrew, Sam and William Rinaldi. 

 The funeral will be Monday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with mass at 11 a.m. in the St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, Chestnut St., Dunmore.  Interment in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Dunmore.  Friends may call Sunday from 3-6 p.m.

She lived a good long and happy life and we all loved her very much. She was among the favorites of her generation. Every time I saw ger or ran into her it brightened my day! Condolences to all of her children, grandchildren and beyond. I will remember her always.
