William A. Sibio Obituary

William A. “Bill” Sibio, Dunmore, died Thursday at Geisinger-Community Medical Center in Scranton.  He and his wife, the former Barbara Zadjura, celebrated 61 years of marriage.

Born in Dunmore, son of the late William and Voilet and Bouselli Sibio, he was a graduate of Dunmore High School Class of 1958. Afterwards, Bill served in the U.S. Army Reserve.  Before his retirement, Bill had a long career in automotive sales. 

Bill was actively engaged in multiple car clubs with his beloved 1940 Chevy. He was also an avid supporter of classic car & hot rod events in the NEPA region. As well as his love of Bowling, Bill was a musician who participated in several bands throughout his life.

He is also survived by a daughter, Michelle Verrastro and husband David of Peckville; sons William Sibio and wife Sherry of Union Dale, and Jeffrey Sibio and wife Michelle of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren Matthew Sibio, Jonathon Sibio and wife Becca, Chelsea Simoncini and husband Patrick, Domenique Ashford and husband Zach, and Bryce Sibio; great-grandchildren Joshua, Gianna, Tatum, Archer, Josie, and Rylan; step-grandchildren Samuel Hoxie and Isiah Hoxie; a sister-in-law Linda Zadjura of Delaware; brothers-in-law Edward Zadjura and wife Judy of Maryland, and Joseph Morelli of North Carolina; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Louise Morelli and infant brother Anthony Sibio; niece Carol Hetman; and parents-in-law John and Bertha Zadjura.

The funeral will be on Wednesday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Chestnut St. in Dunmore.

Interment to follow at Dunmore Cemetery.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday evening from 4-7 PM
