Maria Baldassari, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of William A. Baldassari and the daughter of the late Stanley Gasko and Mildred Bucks.
Throughout her life, Maria was a force of nature and the steady heartbeat of her family known for her determination to endure life’s most difficult challenges with resilience. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcomed in her home which was always filled with warmth, laughter and love.
Food was often a staple of these gatherings as Maria was an amazing cook who both prepared and appreciated delicious meals. Her beauty was unparalleled and her love of the ocean and music were a hallmark of her happiness.
Above all, Maria’s greatest treasures and proudest accomplishments were her two surviving sons, William and Luca Baldassari.
She is also survived by Morgan Rico of Kingston, whom she loved as a daughter; her stepmother, Lynn Moran Gasko; her siblings, Cheryl Esperance and Jason Gasko and her cherished nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Maria’s wide circle of devoted friends and caregivers for their endless and unwavering love and support.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday May 30th at 9:30 AM from St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish 322 Chestnut St. Dunmore, interment will be held in Dunmore Cemetery.
A viewing will be held Friday evening from 5:00 pm to 7:00 p.m. at Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker Street, Dunmore, PA 18512.
Her legacy of love, strength, and compassion will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
