Jeffrey Donald Donahoe, 54, Lake Ariel, died Wednesday afternoon in Johns Hopkins Hospital after a courageous and determined health battle. He and his wife the former Michelle Lynn Norton were married September 7th 2002.
Born in Scranton on August 18, 1971 to parents Jeffrey J. Donahoe of Lake Ariel and the late Jeannie Gilmartin Donahoe, he was a graduate of Bishop O’Hara High School Class of 1989 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from Pennsylvania State University. Jeff was owner and operator of a successful landscaping business for over 30 years.
Also surviving are his children Patrick and Claire Donahoe, a sister Megan Barrett and her husband Michael and their sons Liam, Henry, and Ethan, a brother Tim Donahoe and his wife Rachel and their children Molly and Jake, a sister Samantha Donahoe and her fiancé Will Welch, his in-laws Brad and Linda Norton, a brother in law Jeff Norton and his wife Francesca and their children Bradley and Savannah, aunts, uncles, several cousins, and too many lifelong friends to mention.
The funeral will be Thursday with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by Rev. Cyril Edwards and Deacon Joseph Marcellus at 10AM in Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 316 William St. in North Scranton. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church Thursday morning.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4PM-6PM in the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc. 318 East Drinker Street in Dunmore.
