Obituary

Helen Bondy Albright, 93, of Scranton and formerly of Dunmore, died peacefully on Thursday at Regional Hospital of Scranton. Her husband, Francis R. Albright, passed in 2003. They had been married for 56 years.

She was born in Scranton, daughter of the late Giuseppe Bondy Sr. and Carmella Salerno Pinto Bondy. She attended and graduated from West Scranton High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the medical office of Ronald J. Cianci M.D. and Edward A. Sherwin M.D. for 31 years.

Helen was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Dunmore and was a very active parishioner during the time she was raising her family. For many years, she was a member of the oil painting class at the Dunmore Senior Center. There she was not only learning and enjoying the art of oil painting, but enjoying the camaraderie of her class as well. Friendships were made and many of them lasting. The Monday class was very important to her and the talent of her peers never ceased to amaze her.

Sr. and wife Theresa of Maryland, and Thomas and wife Brenda of Archbald; five grandchildren, Richard J. Jr. and wife Sandy of Clarks Summit, Christopher and wife Paula of Clarks Summit, Dr. Danielle Kuhn and husband Donald of Danville, Dr. Keith J. III, Emily, Olivia, Andrew, Nora, and Giuliana; and many loving nieces and nephews.
