Edmond Michael Moroney, Sr.

Edmond Michael Moroney Sr. (Eddie) of Dunmore, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family August 12, 2026. 

Born in Miltown Malbay, Ireland on December 1, 1940 to Edmond and Martha Moroney, he emigrated as a young child to New York City where he grew up in the Bronx.  A carpenter by trade, he used his gifts to show his love towards friends and family--many have something in their homes that Eddie built or fixed--a lasting reminder of this love.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Martha and Sheila, and survived by his wife Patricia, daughter Kristen Burke and husband Matthew, Kerry Lascari and husband Victor, Edmond Moroney Jr. and wife Sarah, 9 grandchildren: Timothy, Colin, Aidan, Ryan, Christopher, Olivia, Liam, Victoria, and Elizabeth--and his soon to be great-granddaughter. His friends were his family too.

Friends may visit on Friday, August 14th from 4-6 p.m. at Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 15th at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith St., Dunmore.

Interment to follow in Dunmore Cemetery.
