Dolores M. "Peaches" Vavrick

Dolores M. “Peaches” Vavrick, 89, of Dunmore, passed away Saturday morning at Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center in Carbondale.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Stephen F. and Mary Ehnot Vavrick and was a graduate of Dunmore High School. Prior to retirement she worked at the former Golo Shoe Factory in Dunmore. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Dunmore.

Dolores was affectionately known as “Peaches” by her family and friends. She was a very kind and generous woman who lived a simple and quiet life. She loved her family and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving is a sister-in-law, Adrienne Vavrick, Dickson City. A nephew, Stephen Vavrick, Dickson City. A niece, Michelle DeStefano and husband James and their children, Taylor and Dominick, all of Harrisburg.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph M. and Stephen J.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, Chestnut St. in Dunmore.

Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.

Friends may call on Wednesday morning at the church from 9:00am until the time of mass.
