Charlene Arnone Minelli Obituary

In Loving Memory of Charlene Arnone Minelli.

Char was one of a kind--funny, stubborn, unapologetically herself, and quite possibly the biggest hippie any of us will ever know. She lived life on her own terms, said what she thought, and had a sense of humor that could make anyone laugh, even when they probably weren’t ready to.

But more than anything, she loved her grandkids. They were her world, and she made sure they knew it. Her love was loud, unconditional, and unforgettable. She created memories that will stay with us forever. Those moments may have seemed ordinary at the time, but they became some of the memories we will treasure most.

She was the kind of person you could never replace. Her stubbornness, her humor, her free spirit, her stories, and her unmistakable soul made her completely and wonderfully herself. She left an impression on everyone who knew her, but especially on her daughter’s, grandchildren, and great-grandsons who she loved more than anything in the world.

Charlene is survived by her father Charles Arnone, who was a steady source of support throughout her life; her daughters, Gwenda Earles, Kristi Englehardt husband William, and Sarah Murrin, who was also her caregiver since she was diagnosed with MS; her grandchildren and great-grandsons; her brother Charles and wife Anna; and a niece. Another caregiver, Karlie, also provided a kind presence in Char’s life.

She was preceded in death by her mother Carmel Arnone whose love and devotion were unwavering. She dedicated many years to researching multiple sclerosis and tried to provide thoughtful, compassionate care. The family finds peace in believing that Char was called home by her mom so she would no longer have to endure suffering.  She is also preceded by her longtime partner Brian Murrin, as well as many cousins and friends.

Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we will carry her with us in every laugh, every wild story, every song, and every moment that reminds us of her. We will remember her exactly as she was: funny, stubborn, loving, free spirited, and unforgettable.

Rest peacefully, Grandma. We’ll keep the music playing for you. --Corrine
