Salvatore Vito "Chick" "Sal Sal" Ciccone, 81, Dunmore, died Saturday at Geisinger-CMC.
Born in Dunmore, he was the son of the late Vito and Margaret Pagnotti Ciccone. He was a graduate of Dunmore High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Prior to retirement, he was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #44. He was also a member of the San Cataldo Club and the former Willow Club, both of Dunmore. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Scranton. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and friend to many.
Surviving are a son, Guy Ciccone, Scranton; a daughter, Terri L. Trunzo and husband, Pasquale Trunzo Jr., Charlotte, North Carolina; a son, Todd Ciccone, Greenville, South Carolina.; a granddaughter, Cambria Trunzo; the mother of his children, Gail Morgan, Dunmore; a sister, Ann Mecca, Harrisburg, Pa.; other loved ones left behind: his companion, Marilyn Talerico, Moosic; her children, Patti, Karen, Nancy, Donny, Sandi, Lori, Sheri and Judi; and her grandchildren, Matt, Amanda, Kassie, Paul, Malaney, Zack, Casey, Madison, Donny, and Harper; a nephew, Joseph Ciccone; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Family and friends may call Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 East Drinker St., Dunmore.
