Nickalina L. “Nicki” Pitoniak, Dunmore, died Friday in the Mt. View Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband,  Eugene “Slugger” Pitoniak, who died March 31, 2005.

Born in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Angelina  DeSando  Siconolfi.

She was a graduate of Dunmore High School and had formerly been employed at Golo Footwear, and prior to retirement was employed by the First National Community Bank, Dunmore.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, East Scranton and cherished her grandchildren who were the light of her life.

Nicki’s family would like to thank the staff of Mt. View Care Center and especially Bella Bay for all the amazing and individual care compassion and love shown to her. Nicki was grateful to be a part of the Mt. View family.

Surviving are a daughter, Linda Roche and husband, Frank, Elmhurst Twp., a son Eugene and his partner Eduardo DaCruz, Roaring Brook, Township,  two grandchildren  Brenna Roche and Jack Roche.

A brother,  Louis  Siconolfi , Olyphant, nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Pasquale Siconolfi.

The funeral will be Monday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral   Home  Inc., 318 East Drinker St Dunmore with mass at 9:30 A.M. in Immaculate Conception Church, Taylor Ave and East Gibson St., Scranton.

Interment in Dunmore Cemetery.

Friends may call Sunday at the funeral home from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M

Iam very sorry to hear about Nicki! I am having a hard time with my.knee! I reputured mypattela tendon and can't walk without a walker! I have not seen her in a few months ! She is with Slugger now! Cookie

So sorry for your loss. Nicki was a good friend in high school. I did get to see her at a Dunmore class reunion. We had some good times together. She was always up for fun.
