Mary M. Grady, 77, a life-long resident of Throop went into the hands of the Lord Jesus Christ, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness. She was the wife of Robert M. Grady, Sr., whom she was married to for 34 years.

 

Born in Throop, daughter of the late Stephen J. Arnone Sr. and Mary M. Lazorik. She was a graduate of Saint Patrick’s School in Olyphant and was employed at Harper Collins Publishers as an accounting supervisor.  She was a member of Saint Paul’s Parish, Scranton and a former member of St. John the Baptist Church, Throop.

 

She was a loving wife, mother and aunt. She also was a kind, loving and generous person who would be willing to do anything for her family and friends.

 

She is survived by her beloved son Robert Michael, Jr., Throop to whom she devoted her entire life for 33 years.

 

She is also survived by her sisters Joann Arnone, Throop and Monica Miller, Throop, brothers Stephen Arnone and wife Sheila (Olyphant), Joseph and wife Teresa of Lake Ariel. Also surviving are nieces Allison Arnone (Dunmore), Jennifer Phillips and husband Mark (Dickson City), Laurie Stevens and husband Chris (Duryea).  Nephews Christopher Arnone and wife Karen (Georgia), Gregory Arnone, (Olyphant).  J.T. Arnone (Waymart), James Arnone (Waymart), Joe Arnone and wife Susanna (Honesdale), Josh Arnone and wife Caitlin (West Chester) and Jake Arnone (Colorado)

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 9:30 AM at the Saint Paul’s Parish, 1510 Pennsylvania Avenue, Scranton. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, 318 East Drinker

Street, Dunmore. The interment will take place at Saint John’s Cemetery in Throop. 

 

Those attending Mass are asked to go directly to the church the morning of.
