Mary A. Polizzi, 86, of Dunmore, died Saturday afternoon in the
Dunmore Health Care Center, Dunmore. She was the widow of Anthony C. Polizzi
who  died April 30, 1972.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph
and Constance Archer Berardelli and attended the Scranton public schools.

She had a passion for cooking and Ballroom dancing. She
loved to laugh and was very close to her family especially her grandchildren.
She was a blessing to her family and will be sadly missed.

Surviving are daughters; Sandra Bevilacqua, Dunmore; Mary
Polizzi, Olyphant and Tina Carlucci, Dunmore. Sisters; Theresa Billeck,
Scranton and Angela Albanesi, Florida. Brothers; Joseph and Jay Berardelli,
Scranton, James Berardelli, Clarks Summit and Frank Berardelli, Old Forge.  Grandchildren; Marisa Evans and husband
Chris; Mario Bevilacqua and fiancée, Katie Graziosi, Alesandra Bevilacqua,
Lindsey Hunt and husband Greg, Tony and Joey Carlucci. Great-grandchildren;
Macsen and Callen Evans and Max, Mason and Marianna Hunt.

Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by son-in-laws, Joseph B. Carlucci
and Mario C. Bevilacqua. Sisters; Josephine DeSarro and Sadie Coroniti and a
brother; Anthony Berardelli.

The funeral will be Thursday from the
Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore with
Mass at 11:00am in St. Mary’s Church, Chestnut St., Dunmore.

Interment is private at the convenience of the family.

Friends may call Thursday morning at the funeral home from
9:00am until 10:30am.

Sandy, Mary & Tina,
Although I haven't seen you or your mom in many years, I still remember her well - who could forget her? She was a wonderful, caring, compassionate and funny person who will remain in my memory. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your families at this time.

I have many very fond memories of your mom growing up. She always welcomed everyone into her home. I am sorry for your loss. She will be remembered by many.
