Marion T. Costa, 95, formerly of Dickson City and Dunmore, died Monday afternoon in V.N.A. Hospice at Geisinger-Community Medical Center.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Costa who died in 1994, and to whom she was married for 58 years.

Born in Dunmore, daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Fedor Wargo, she attended Dunmore public schools and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers.  She will be remembered as ‘The Sunglass Lady” in Dunmore, and as someone who loved animals. 

Surviving are her sisters Irene Zukowski, Throop, and Justine Sharples, Waterford, PA; a daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and over 50 nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Parish, Rebecca St., Throop.  Interment, All Saints Slovak Cemetery, Hollisterville. 

There is no viewing.  Everyone is asked to go directly to the church for the time of Mass.

Memorial contributions in Marion’s memory may be made to the All Saints Slovak Cemetery Association, c/o 206 Andrews St., Dunmore, 18512-2402.

I am so fortunate to have known Marion. She was the finest, most respectful, loving woman I have ever met. Marion was a joy. I loved her like a gramna. We met at Mercy Hospital several years ago. I will never forget Marion. Love you Marion.
