Margaret Suzanne Sullivan, Dunmore, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening in V.N.A. Hospice at Geisinger-Community Medical Center, Scranton.  She and her husband, Edward Dennis Sullivan, celebrated 53 years of marriage on January 19th.

 Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Harold and Pauline Clarke Gillern, she was a graduate of Marywood Seminary and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Dunmore. She was the former co-owner of Hank’s in the Green Ridge section of Scranton.  Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. 

 In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Dennis Sullivan and wife Molly of Scranton; a daughter, Maureen Sullivan-Kuschke and husband Barry of Dickson City; grandchildren, Courtney Elizabeth Kuschke of Dickson City, Patrick Ryan Sullivan, Shamus Connor Sullivan and Liam Dennis Sullivan, all of Scranton; a sister, Maureen “Sonnie” Gillern McHale of Dunmore; a brother, Harold Gillern of Dunmore; nieces, nephews and cousins.

 She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary; and brothers, William and Terry Gillern.

 Funeral services will be privately held. Memorial contributions can be made to St Patrick’s Food Pantry, 1403 Jackson St., Scranton, PA 18504, or the donor's favorite charity.

Denny and family, I am sorry for your loss. Suzanne was a wonderful, kind and intelligent woman, with a tremendous spirit and great sense of humor. She a big part of many, many happy memories of Hanks when it was at its best.
