Margaret Marguerite Ann Healey, 73, Dunmore, died Tuesday at Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, N.J., after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Ross, she was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Dunmore, and a graduate of Dunmore High School. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are two daughters, Lynne Delehanty, Hackensack, N.J.; and Theresa Terry Strauss, Locust Valley, N.Y.; two sons, Thomas J. Healey, Red Bank, N.J.; and Patrick Healey, Hillsdale, N.J.; a sister, Mary Ann Gentile, Factoryville; a brother, John "Jockey" Ross, Dunmore; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Rossi.

The funeral will be Saturday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church, Chestnut Street, Dunmore. Interment, Dunmore Cemetery.

Friends may call Saturday from 9 to 10:30 at the funeral home.

Dear Lynne, Terri, Tommy, and Pat,
I am sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. We had many wonderful times together. Whether we were laughing or chatting on the phone, she always brightened my day. She was a great person. Take care girls. Remember me to your brothers especially Pat. Some day I hope to see you all.

Dear Beverly ...The days of our youth with Mar and Uncle GoGo. Elm street and Pettito's store. Singing "I'm gonna wash that man right outta my hair"..Chalk..Caps.. So many other fond memories. I am sorry for everyone's loss

I'm very sorry to learn of Marguerite's passing. She was a really nice person, and will be missed by many people. I send my sympathy to both the Healey and Ross families

Please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of your mother and sister. I have known Marg. since 1959 and she was always a sweet, warm, gentle, kind and beautiful young girl and later woman. I know she will be dearly missed by your family and anyone who knew her.
