Louise Castellano

Scranton, PA February 12, 1927 ~ April 8, 2013 Date of Service: April 11, 2013

Louise Castellano, 86, Scranton, died Monday in the Scranton Health Care Center, where she recently resided with her husband Anthony Castellano. They would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary this Friday April 12th.

Born in Jessup, she was the daughter of the late John and Felica Paolucci Fiorelli. She was a graduate of Jessup High School Class of 1944 and was a member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish in Dunmore. Prior to retirement she was employed by Barbizon Garment in Jessup and Luger Wire, the Grove Silk Mill and Sarno and Sons all in Dunmore.

Louise was loving and caring, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who spent most of her life taking care of her family and her home. Her family will proudly carry on the family tradition of making homemade ravioli and cappelletti that she has passed down to them. Her husband Anthony was truly the love of her life. The two were inseparable, constant companions throughout life. To say she will be missed is an understatement.

Her family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Scranton Health Care Center and Southern Care Hospice for the love and compassionate care shown to Louise during her stay with them.

Also surviving are two sons, Michael A. Castellano and his wife Marsilia, Factoryville, and Rocco Castellano and his wife Lugene, Clarks Summit, three grandchildren, Margaret Castellano, Phoenixville, PA, Louise Castellano, Astoria, NY, and Anthony Castellano, Clarks Summit, a sister, Johanna Molinaro, Dunmore, and several nieces and nephews.
