Joseph James Pane, 86, of Dunmore, died Saturday evening in the Regional Hospital of Scranton. He was married to the late Barbara Evans Pane.

Born in Dunmore, he was a son of the late Louis and Genevieve Lupia Pane and was a graduate of Dunmore High School. He was a proud Army veteran and served in the Korean War.

He was a loving husband and a kind, generous man. He enjoyed playing bocce ball. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Surviving are a nephew, Joseph Dupay, Dunmore; and nieces, Genevieve Wojack, Florida; Louise Lewia and AnnMarie Kuratnick, both of Virginia; and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by sisters, Lydia, Clara and Rose Marie; and a brother, Fred.

The funeral will be Tuesday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Chestnut Street, Dunmore.

Interment, Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Dunmore

Joe, you will be missed dearly. You were a great person who always made me laugh. My heart goes out to the family at this time. Joe can finally be with Barb now. Rest in peace, Joe. Love you.
