In Loving Memory of Joseph "J.C." Carlucci

Joseph "J.C." Carlucci

Dunmore, PA September 17, 1985 ~ September 30, 2018 Date of Service: October 5, 2018

Joseph “J.C.” Carlucci, 33, of Dunmore, died Sunday afternoon at home.

Born in Scranton, he is the son of Tina Polizzi Carlucci and the late Joseph B. Carlucci. He was a 2005 graduate of Dunmore High School and was currently working at Cutting Edge Lawn Services.

Affectionately known as “J.C.” by his family and friends, he had a million dollar smile that could light up a room and an unmistakable laugh that could brighten the darkest of days. He had a heart of gold that he wore on his sleeve and would offer help and a listening ear to anyone in need. He was an avid poker player and a pool shark. He loved spending time with his family, especially his niece and nephews. He had a great sense of humor and was an impeccable dresser. His sister and brother thought the world of him but he was undeniably a mama’s boy. He was very protective of his Mama and could always be found enjoying a meal with her. He was a proud supporter of the recovery community, the 12 Step Program, and was a friend of Bill W. He will sadly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Also surviving is a sister, Lindsey Hunt and husband Greg, Dunmore; a brother, Tony Carlucci, Washington; a niece, Marianna Joey Hunt, nephews, Max and Mason Hunt;  a longtime friend, Debi Domenick and her son, Dylan, who held a special place in Joey’s heart;  numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Anthony C. and Mary Beradelli Polizzi; and paternal grandparents, Leonard “Spike” and Mary T. McDonald Carlucci.

A service will be held on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St. Dunmore.

Friends may call Friday from 4-7pm at the funeral home.

Interment is private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Forever Sammi Foundation, 403 N. Irving Ave. Scranton, PA, 18509.

Since we have seen your face, but the memories we have with you are priceless. Your smile is what we remember the most, and nights at Dewies, going to the football games, the devastation you shared when your father changed all of us. Growing up was tough, but I'm glad we did a lot of it together. If there is one thing we know it's that you come from a strong lot of people, you family will miss you, but they will be ok someday. Please give Mikey, and Tyler hugs for us. Until we all meet again, keep smiling down on us. ♡
