Joseph J. Carroll, 64, of Scranton, died Sunday morning at home.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Francis and Josephine Pagnozzi Carroll. He attended the Dunmore public schools and was employed by DeNaples Auto Parts, Dunmore.

He was an avid motorcycle rider and had a passion for working on cars. He was a NASCAR and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He adored his cat, Otis, and loved spending time with his family and friends. His mother was the love of his life and he was often known as a “ladies man." He was a very kind, generous, and forgiving man.

Surviving is a daughter, Jessica Clark and husband Jesse, Scranton; a son, Sean Grandinetti, Phoneix, Arizona; a grandson, Frank Mazepa, Scranton; and a godson, Gordon “Butchie” Appel, Jr.; several cousins and friends.

Friends may call Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. at the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc. 318 E. Drinker St. Dunmore, PA, 18512.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent  to the V.F.W. McHugh-Bushweller Post 3474, 110 Chestnut St., Dunmore, PA, 18512; or the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Rd., South Abington Township, PA, 18411.

So sorry for your loss.. My husband Lenny and I were friends of Joe 's. He just passed away in April. Joe wAs also a good friend of my brother in law Pat. My husband stopped to see Joe last summer or the summer befor maybe. Anyway my condolences. Joe was a great guy to know...Monica DeMarco

Jc u were one of the best men I've ever met in my whole life.I will never forget u or the way u made me laugh every time I saw u. Even though u were in unbearable pain everyday. U were one of the best friends I ever knew & I thank god I had the pleasure of meeting u. U will always be in my heart. Love u jc your in gods hands now. Love u my friend!! :-)
