John P. Klobusicky, Dunmore, died Monday afternoon in Allied Skilled Nursing Center. He and his wife the former Doris Tellie, had celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on April 30th 2015.

Born in Dunmore, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Kandrach Klobusicky. John was a Korean War Veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a graduate of Dunmore High School and had earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Scranton. Prior to retirement he worked as a Lineman for Pennsylvania Power & Light. A current member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Dunmore, John was very involved with the former All Saints Church in Dunmore as an usher and lector and as a member of the Holy Name Society.

Also surviving are sons, John Klobusicky and his wife Alana, Middletown, PA, Joseph Klobusicky and his wife Debra, Schwenksville, PA and Christopher Klobusicky, Dunmore, and  two daughters, Jeanne Bojarski and her husband John, Pittsburgh, and Caroline Tourtellotte and her husband James, Herndon, VA, a sister, Mary Goodwin, Sheffield, MA, eleven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, and several brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Martha Ehrhardt, Monica Roach, Terry Hamm and two brothers, Joseph and Cyril Klobusicky.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 9:30am in St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church on Chestnut Street in Dunmore. Interment will take place in Dunmore Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday morning from 8:30am-9:30am.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish 322 Chestnut Street Dunmore 18512 or to St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen 500 Penn Avenue Scranton 18509.

I am so very sorry to learn of your Dad's passing. I hope that memories of happier times will serve to comfort you and yours through this difficult period. I regret that I cannot pay my respects in person, but I will keep you father and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
