Irving D. Falik, 97, of Boca Raton, Florida and formerly of Simpson, passed away on May 19, 2018.
Mr. Falik was predeceased by his wife Lila, and son Bruce. He is survived by daughter Erna, and son-in-law Stuart Weisbrot of Coconut Creek, Florida, son Jay and daughter-in-law Nancy Shendell-Falik, of Wilbraham, Massachusetts, grandchildren Brett and Scott Weisbrot, Rachel Falik, Ian Falik and Deanne Falik.
Mr. Falik was a graduate of Fell Township High School and the University of Scranton. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the US Coast Guard in the North African and Pacific Theaters of war. He also served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict at the US Naval Hospital, Bethesda, Maryland. Mr. Falik was a retiree of the Treasury Department retiring as a manager in November 1979.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Dalton Jewish Cemetery.
