Helen Rose Nole ,93 of Scott Township, died Wednesday morning in the Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit in Dunmore.  Her husband of sixty-six years the late Daniel William “Dick” Nole, preceded her in death in 2013.

Born in Old Forge, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Guzik Zielenski, she was a member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish in Dunmore.  For many years, she compassionately served as a caregiver to many patients, who were indebted to her for her dedication.  A devout Catholic, she was very generous to religious and charitable organizations, and was an animal lover, especially of her Pomeranians. 

Surviving are a God son a Goddaughter nieces and nephews.

She was additionally preceded in death by her sisters, Jean Zielenski and Sophie Chorba; and her brothers, John, Frank, and Walter Zielenski.

The funeral will be Saturday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc. 318 East Drinker Street in Dunmore with Mass of Christian burial at 9:30AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church in Dunmore. Entombment to follow in the Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.

Friends may call Friday 4-7PM

Sometimes you meet people that you just take to and cherish. I am so honored to have known Helen. I will really miss chatting with her, writing back and forth and hearing about her dog Toby. She was an amazing woman and she will be greatly missed! My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.
