Gloria M. Trovato, 89, of Dunmore, died Tuesday morning in Allied Services Hospice Center. She was the widow of the late Anthony Trovato. The couple had been married for 32 years.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Gilda Coccia Pasquarelli and was a graduate of the former Scranton Technical High School. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish and its MAC Club, Dunmore. Prior to retirement, she worked in the local garment industry.
She loved spending time with her family and friends especially during the holidays. She was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed her weekly luncheons with her friends. She enjoyed traveling and visiting the casino on special occasions and was an avid Yankee’s fan. Gloria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Mary Ann McDonald, Dr. Martin Hyzinski, and the nurses and staff at Allied Hospice for all of their care and compassion.
Surviving is a son; Raymond Castellano and wife Helene; Dickson City. Daughters; Annette Runco and husband Richie, Jessup; Jill Shelp and husband Peter, Forty Fort; Michele Boniello and husband David, Dunmore. 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore with Mass at 11:00am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, Chestnut St., Dunmore.
Interment; Italian-American Cemetery, Minooka.
