Enrico Joseph Fiore, 63, of Throop died Wednesday after a two year battle with melanoma, at the Hospice of the Scared Heart, Dunmore.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Leonard and Angela Laurie Fiore. He was a graduate of Dunmore High School class of 1974. He is survived by his daughter Kristina Fiore who stood by him and cared for him throughout his illness.

Enrico was the owner of Fiore Precision Machine Shop. He used his knowledge in this trade to create unique metal furniture, sculptures, and jewelry.

When time allowed, he was found riding his mountain bike on/or hiking at Dick and Nancy Eales Preserve at Moosic Mountain exploring and endeavoring to keep the mountain pristine and beautiful, at times accompanied by Kristina.

He enjoyed turning pitch pine trees into beautiful Bonsai creations.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Hospice of the Sacred Heart. Although they do not remember their names, they remember how they made them feel and the faces that provided care and compassion to Enrico. They would also like to thank, Dr. Eric Blomain, who cared for and supported Enrico from the start of his illness, and the chemotherapy and radiation staff at NROC.

Also surviving are sisters, Caroline and husband, Edward Walsh and Lenore Fiore Mills; nephew, Fiore Mills, and former wife, Mary Grace Fiore.

He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Enrico N. and Carolina Guadagno Fiore, maternal grandparents, Joseph and Carolina Marino Laurie; nephew Jesse Mills; aunts, Sarah Fiore, and Josephine and husband John Tesluk.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends who will pass on his legacy of love of nature and keep his memory alive.

Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm at the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E.

Drinker Street in Dunmore.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Dunmore.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Enrico’s name can be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 100 William St. Dunmore, PA 18510.

From my family and Richards family a.k.a. Nutzy Brunetti I was out of town for work and nuts was out of town on vacation sorry that we could not make the viewing and that our thoughts and prayers are with your family
