Elizabeth T. Price, 92, Dunmore, died Tuesday in the Moses Taylor Hospital. She was the wife of Jack F. Price who died in 1980.
Born in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late Timothy and Mary O’Hearn Sullivan. She was a graduate of Dunmore High School and a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Scranton and prior to that a lifelong member of the former Christ the King Church in Dunmore. Before her retirement she was employed at both the Petersburg and Grove Silk Mills.
Elizabeth was loved greatly by her entire family. She was a selfless person, always doing for others before herself. Because of this she was liked by many friends and neighbors. Her greatest enjoyment came spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are a daughter Sharon Price-Liberty and her husband Joseph, Peckville, a son Jack Price and his wife Patricia, Dunmore, a brother, Daniel Sullivan and his wife Jeri, Dunmore, grandchildren, Christopher Skaluba and his wife LeeAnn Arlington, VA, Craig Skaluba and his wife Shannon, Muncy Valley, PA, Kimberly Hochard and her husband Quincy, Alexandria, VA, Mary Beth Price, Dunmore, and Jack Price, Dunmore, and four great grandchildren, Chloe Skaluba and Grant McCauley of Muncy Valley, PA and Madelyn and Jack William Hochard of Alexandria, VA, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10am in the Immaculate Conception Church, Taylor Avenue and Gibson Street in Scranton. All those attending the mass are asked to go directly to the church. Interment will be private in the Cathedral Cemetery.
