Elizabeth J. Petitto, of Moscow, died unexpectedly Friday morning in Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton. She was the wife of Angelo Petitto. The couple would have celebrated 15 years of marriage on September 12th.

Born in Scranton, she is the daughter of the former Pauline Lindner and the late Walter Shaffer. She was a graduate of North Pocono High School and prior to retirement she worked at the former Thomson Consumer  Electronics.

She was an avid gardener and enjoyed yard sales and crocheting. She worked side by side with her husband every day in their family business, A. Petitto Excuvating. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving is a sister, Robin Sheridan and husband Patrick, Daleville; brothers, Edward Zindle and wife Barbara, Clifton Twp; And William Zindle and wife Penny, Tennessee.

Father and Mother in-law; Angelo and Carolyn Petitto ; Sisters-in-law Alisa Petitto and Andrea Long, both of Dunmore. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a brother David Shaffer.

The funeral will be Tuesday at the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, 318 E. Drinker St. Dunmore with a service at 12 noon.

Friends may call Tuesday morning from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home.

Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Road, Clarks Summit, Pa 18411
