Dorothy T. Bouselli, 91, of Dunmore, died Tuesday in the Jewish Home of Eastern PA, Scranton. She was the wife of the late Louis J. Bouselli Jr., who died on Oct. 15, 2015.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Karpovich Stumbers. She attended St. Joseph's School, North Scranton, and was a parishioner of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish, Dunmore. She had been employed in the food industry, the local garment industry where she was a member of the ILGWU, as well as Landers River Trips in Narrowsburg, N.Y.
Dorothy was a member of the WTS Club and the Red Had Society, in addition to the Dunmore Senior Citizen Center where she served as past president and helped to organize their trips. She also bowled in the Tuesday night Ladies and Sunday Dunmore Bowlers leagues. She greatly enjoyed her casino trips, crocheting and cooking and baking for family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff of the Jewish Home along with the various doctors and to the staff of Compassionate Care Hospice, including the Rev. Dennis Gray, for all there compassion and dedicated care.
Surviving are a son, Joseph Bouselli and wife, Susan, of Hawley; and daughters, Ann Marie Schneider and husband, Paul, of Westfield, N.J.; and Rose Ann Arnone and husband, Vincent, of Dunmore; grandchildren, Suzanne Tammaro and husband, Daniel, of N.J.; Amanda Martinho and husband, Ricardo, of N.J.; Louis Bouselli of Pittsburgh, Elaine Bouselli of Havertown and Anthony Bouselli of Charlottesville, Va.; great-grandsons, Angelo Tammaro and Louis Joseph Martinho, both of N.J.; her sister, Irene Papura; brother, Michael Stumbers and wife, Joan; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her husband, Louis, she was preceded in death by a very young son, James.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in the St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith St., Dunmore. Interment to follow in St. John's Cemetery, Throop.
Friends may call on Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m.
