In Loving Memory of Doreen M. Cuozzo Demming
Doreen M. Cuozzo DemmingScott Township, PA March 27, 1960 ~ January 27, 2018 Date of Service: February 1, 2018
Doreen M. Cuozzo Demming, 57, of Scott Township, died Saturday in the Regional Hospital of Scranton. She and her husband, Brian K. Demming, celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary on June 9th.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Anthony and Sylvia Pigga Cuozzo, she was a graduate of Dunmore High School and enjoyed home decorating. Doreen was an avid music fan, especially of Bruce Springsteen, and supporter of the local art/music scene. She frequented concerts and local shows, when she felt better, and was loved dearly by everyone in the music community. In her younger years, she had a love for writing, and kept journals that contain her own beautiful poetry.
While she did love the arts, her first and biggest love was always her family. She loved her family more than anything else. Doreen was a devoted wife to her husband and a loving and supportive mother to her children. She always put the needs of her family and friends before her own. She truly loved, and wanted to help all people. She found solace at the beach, and loved to be close to the boardwalk and the water. She loved her dog, Buddy, and her son’s dog, Wilco, with all of her heart…
She was wise beyond her years. We were spoiled by her love, and blessed by God to have her in our lives. She will be forever missed, and never forgotten.
Also surviving is a son, Edward Cuozzo of Throop and his fiancée, Chelsea Collins; step-children, Amanda Demming of Scranton and Brian Demming of Scott Twp., her sisters, Cynthia Cikota and husband Chet of Scranton, and Diane Mecca and husband Angelo of Throop; her brother Peter Cuozzo and wife Mona of Greenfield Twp.; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Montdale United Methodist Church, 961 Lakeland Dr., Scott Twp., by Rev. Linda Eckersley. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
Family and friends may call Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 East Drinker St., Dunmore; and Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
