Dave L. Holzman Jr., 52, Dunmore, died unexpectedly Tuesday in Geisinger-CMC.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of David L. Sr. and Cookie Falduto Holzman, Moscow.  He was a graduate of North Pocono High School where he excelled in football.  Dave was employed in the construction business over thirty years. He enjoyed watching movies, making lures, and fishing trips to Black Lake.  Dave also loved spending time with his family especially his daughters, Alex and Jamie, and his nephew Brody. He will be missed by all who knew him and his faithful dog, Lugnut.

Also surviving are his two daughters, Alex Holzman and companion Ryan Buicko, Scottsdale, AZ,  and Jamie Holzman and companion, Johnny Perry, Dunmore.; a sister, Lynn Bull and husband Jeremy, Jefferson Twp.; his nephew Brody Bull; Dave’s companion, Kimberlee Yurchak;  aunts, uncles, and cousins.

 The funeral will be Saturday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 East Drinker St., Dunmore, with mass at 11:00 A.M. in St. Ann’s Basilica, West Scranton. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery,  Rt. 6  Dickson  City.

Friends may call Friday from 4-7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association of NEPA, Suite 110, 968 Postal Road, Allentown, PA 18109

No words can take your pain away. So sorry to hear about Dave’s passing. Although I haven’t seen him in many years, I will never forget Dave’s big personality but most importantly his big heart. God bless you all. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
