Clark Mark, 71, of Scranton, died peacefully Monday night in the Jewish Home of Eastern Pa.
Born in Scranton, son of the late Harry A. and Henrietta Thier Mark and brother of Larry and Milton. He was a graduate of Taylor-Moosic High School class of 1964, and went on to obtain future degrees from Keystone Junior College in 1968, York College in 1972, and finally the Marywood School of Social Work in 1980, where he received his MSW. He had been a member of Beth Shalom Congregation, B'nai Brith, and served as past president to the National Association of Social Workers.
He is survived by sister-in-law, Dottie Greenstein Mark Gallagher, of Dallas, Texas, and her children, Larry M. Mark, Harry A. Mark, Marti Mark Lawrence, James G. Lawrence and Carter Lawrence; cousins, Gary Stahler and Stewart Stahler; along with many dear friends in the Scranton community. He will be missed and remembered by all for his warm heart, quick wit and persistent spirit.
Graveside services will be Sunday at noon in the Dalton Jewish Cemetery by Rabbi Yisroel Brotsky.
The family will receive condolence calls at the Jewish Home, 1101 Vine St., Scranton, on Sunday from 1:15 until 3:15 p.m.
