Sad to hear of Buddy's passing. I knew him from his kid days on Monroe Ave; he used to carry me to school on his shoulders. Buddy was a kind and friendly man, and we kept in touch. Buddy gave me the name of Gooch as a kid, and that was the only way he addressed me. A wonderful friend, open, kind hearted, and respectful. He carried his illness very well, but never lost his sense of humor or humanness.
