In Loving Memory of Britani Rose Ciaglia
Britani Rose CiagliaDunmore, PA August 28, 1982 ~ September 8, 2018 Date of Service: September 13, 2018
Britani Rose Ciaglia, 36, of Dunmore, passed away peacefully Saturday morning surrounded by family. Britani fought a long and courageous battle with grace, dignity and strength.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of Richard and Rosemary Donnini Ciaglia of Dunmore. She was a graduate of Dunmore High School class of 2000 and East Stroudsburg University. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, Dunmore.
Although Britani was at home disabled, she never lost her passions in life. An avid reader, Brit spent her days immersed in a book, with her two mastiffs, ever her loving companions, by her side. She never let her illness defeat her brilliant wit or hilarious sense of humor, keeping us laughing until the end. She was a lover of history, especially the Kennedy dynasty. She held a vast vault of knowledge, always sharing, enlightening, and of course, correcting her family and friends. She had a passion for marine life, particularly sharks and their conservancy. Britani was brought endless joy from her niece, Eve, her ray of light.
Britani’s family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Roger Getz, Dr. Julio Ramos, Dr. Diane Ciaglia, the staff at DaVita Dialysis Dunmore, and all the doctors throughout the years for their relentless dedication and care given to Britani.
Also surviving sisters, Krista Melvin and husband Cory, Olyphant, and Alexa Ciaglia and partner Lance Girouard, Dunmore; her niece and goddaughter, Eve Melvin; paternal grandparents, Vito and Effie Ciaglia, Dunmore; and maternal grandmother, Marie Donnini of Dunmore; aunts and uncles, Sandi and Fran Burne, Judy and Tom DePietro and Donna Gianzanti, all of Dunmore, Fred and Theresa Donnini of Lake Ariel, Pat and Joe Cecci of Dunmore, Vito and Heidi Ciaglia of Duryea, and Greg and Rea Ciaglia of Moscow; and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Fred Donnini.
