Barbara A. Dominick, 70, of Dunmore, died Sunday morning in Geisinger-Community Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Kathryn B. Summa Dominick and was a 1963 graduate of Dunmore High School and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, Dunmore.

She was a graduate of the former Vo-Tech Center, Scranton where she received her beautician’s license. She worked for many years as a teacher at Empire Beauty School where she was known lovingly by her students as “Miss Barb”. She also worked in many local beauty shops throughout her career.

She was a member of the Red Hatters and enjoyed her friends and spending time with her family especially her nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews. She also looked forward to taking trips to Long Beach Island, New York and Connecticut to visit her extended family members. She was a loving and caring daughter, sister, aunt and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving is a sister; Jeanette Bouselli, Dunmore. A nephew; Joseph Abda, Scranton and nieces; Kim Santarsiero and husband Billy; Kathy Harrity and her husband Kirk; Melissa Bouselli and her companion Dave Stipp; Kristina Richardson and her husband Tom and Jennifer Bouselli, all of Dunmore. Several great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, especially Ann Yanisko and her husband Paul, Dunmore and many friends.

The funeral will be Thursday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore with a Mass at 9:30am in St. Mary’s Church, Chestnut St., Dunmore.

Interment, Dunmore Cemetery

Friends may call Wednesday from 4-7pm.
