Anne C. Valentine, 79, a resident of Holy Family Residence in Scranton and a former resident of Dunmore, died Tuesday evening in Holy Family Residence.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Carmella Marie Coviello Valentine. She attended Dunmore Public Schools and was a former member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Dunmore.

Surviving are a sister in law, Ann Valentine, Coppell, Texas, two nieces, a nephew, six great nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Nicholas Valentine on March 26, 2012.

 The funeral will be Monday with mass at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Family Residence, 2500 Adams Ave., Scranton. Interment in Dunmore Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday afternoon from 12-2p.m. at Holy Family Residence. 

 Memorial contributions may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, c/o Holy Family Residence, 2500 Adams Ave., Scranton, 18509.

Arrangements entrusted to the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc. Dunmore.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Anne Valentine. I knew Anne when my Dad was also a resident at Holy Family. We all shared many nice bingo games with Anne. She always had a cheery Hello and a welcoming smile for anyone she met. May she rest in peace.
