Anne C. McHale, 74 of Dunmore, died peacefully, Wednesday afternoon, surrounded by her family at the Geisinger Mountain View Care Skilled Nursing Center, Scranton, following a brief illness. She was the widow of James C. McHale, Sr., who died June 14, 2000. The couple was married for 35 years.
Born in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen Campbell Collins. She was a graduate of Saint Rose High School, Carbondale and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, Dunmore.
She worked at Mercy Hospital in Scranton for almost 30 years until her retirement this past December. She most enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends, and especially spending time with her grandchildren attending their many activities. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are sons, James McHale and wife Karen, and Michael McHale and wife, Kimberly; all of Dunmore. A daughter Ellen Krzywicki and husband Joseph, Mechanicsburg, Pa. Grandchildren; James T. and William McHale, Jared and Molly Krzywicki, Gavin, Evan and Riley McHale; ; Brothers; James Collins and wife, Lena, Indian Land, South Carolina; and Timothy Collins and wife Carol, Clifford Township, PA; A brother-in-law; Charles McHale and wife Patricia, Tampa, Fl.
She was preceded in death by brothers, William and John Collins.
The McHale family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Geisinger Community Medical Center, Northeast Regional Cancer Center and especially the staff at Geisinger Moutain View Care Center for their care and compassion over the last several weeks.
The funeral will be Monday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore with a Mass at 9:30am in St. Mary’s Church, Chestnut St., Dunmore Those attending are asked to go directly to the church the morning of the funeral.

Friends may call Sunday from 2-5pm at the funeral home.
