Salvatore A. Graci, of Dunmore, died Saturday, at the VNA Hospice at Community Medical Center, Scranton.

Born in Dunmore, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Rena Simonetti  Graci. He was a graduate of Dunmore High School and a graduate of King’s College. He received his master’s degree in Music Education from the University of Scranton and prior to retirement he was employed by the Dunmore School District as a music teacher and as the supervisor of the music department. He and his late brother Anthony formed a band called the Graci Brothers Band which performed for many years throughout the area, especially in the Pocono region at several resorts.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Surviving are three sons; Jason, South Orange, New Jersey; Marc and wife Miho, California; Chris, Washington, D.C.

A sister; Bessie Pisa and husband Carlo, Dunmore; Several nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony.

Private services were held at the convenience of the family.

Entombment; St. Catherine’s Cemetery.

Sal was a great teacher and a good man. He went out of his way to be good to me since I was in High School. I will miss seeing him at Gubbio's and about town. He was a class act. My deepest sympathies to the entire Graci family.

We had many good times together and you will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
