Sally A. Cordaro, 77, of Dunmore, died Thursday evening in the Dunmore Healthcare Center. Her husband, Ross J. Cordaro, died June 3, 2011.
Born in Taylor, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Nerine Hodge Moore and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, Dunmore and a graduate of Taylor High School. Prior to retirement, she was a sales associate for CVS Pharmacy, Dunmore.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose true enjoyment was her family. She also enjoyed her trips to the Casinos with her best buds Effie and Vito. The family wishes to thank Faith Canavan and Jackie Butler for all of their care and compassion during their mom’s illness.
Surviving are daughters; Sheila Hallinan and husband, Michael “Sid”, Dunmore; Debra Canavan and husband Wayne, Scranton; Sally Judge and husband Robert, Dunmore; Cathy Corbett and husband Martin, Minooka Section of Scranton and Susan Pallo and husband Jeff, Jessup; a son; Ross A. Cordaro and wife Dana, Dunmore. Fourteen grandchildren; Tasha Canavan Keating and husband Joseph; Kimberly Hallinan Coyle and husband Robert; Wayne Canavan and wife Faith; Michael Hallinan and wife Aubrey; Robert Judge and wife Abby; Brian Judge and wife Megan; Casey Judge; Kelly Corbett Baldoni and husband Michael; Sara Corbett, Jared and Brianna Pallo, Ross, Gianna and Anthony Cordaro. Seven great-grandchildren; Tristan and Brayden Canavan, Haylie Keating, Adyson and Reese Hallinan, Quinn Coyle and Jack Judge. A mother-in-law, Pauline Cordaro. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Moore and a granddaughter, Michelle Canavan.
The funeral will be Monday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis funeral home, Inc.,318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore with Mass at 9:30am in St. Mary’s Church, Chestnut St., Dunmore
Interment, Milwaukee Cemetery
