Alice Occulto, Dunmore died Sunday in the Jewish Home, Scranton.

She and her husband, Jerome A. Occulto celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary June 18, 2011.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Bruno and Mary Valentine Mancuso.

She was a graduate of Dunmore High School and was a member of S.S. Anthony and Rocco Parish, Dunmore. She had been employed in the local garment industry. She and her husband enjoyed ballroom dancing and had received numerous awards.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary Ann Coviello and husband, Frank, Dunmore, a son Salvatore and wife, Carolyn, Jacksonville, Fla, a granddaughter, Kelly, a great-grandson, Jacob and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.

The funeral will be Tuesday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 East Drinker St., Dunmore, with mass at 9:30 A.M. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith St., Dunmore. Interment in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow.

Friends may call Tuesday morning at the funeral home from 8:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M.

Preferred memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Home of Eastern PA., 1101 Vine St., Scranton, 18510.

I love you nana and will miss you so much. I wish you had a chance to see Jacob and know him. He would have loved you so much. It is hard to believe you are gone and my heart is so sad cause I didnt get a chance to say goodbye. I will always keep you in my heart and my thoughts and prayers. I love you nana !!

Dear Mary Ann & Frank,
It is now 2:15 Tuesday afternoon....I just read Mondays paper. We are so sorry we would have been there this morning.
We were out of town till late last night.
Please be assured that our thoughts and are prayers are with you at this time. Also, please tell your father we are thinking of him.
I don't remember not know them...two very special people.

Alice was a beautiful lady. We walked with her and her family at the Viemont mall every day. She was pleasant and always had a smile. Remembered our names until the last day she walked with us. We will truly miss her as so will her husband and family. Sincerely, Stella and Sonny
