Elaine A. Turner, 77, Dunmore, died Saturday in the Northeast Pa. Hospice at the Regional Hospital of Scranton.

She was the widow of David Turner who died in 2008.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Marjorie Thornton Manley.

She was a graduated of Dunmore High School and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, East Scranton. Prior to retirement she was employed by Triple A Trousers and was a member of the I.L.G.W.U. 

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt whose true enjoyment was her family.

Surviving are a son, David G. Turner Jr. and companion, Jean Lockner, Scranton, two daughters, Terry Stewart and Gayle Turner, both of Scranton. Ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews including Betty Jean Coughlin, Scranton and grand nieces and grand nephews

She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Turner, a daughter, Maureen Cooper, two brothers, Jack and Joseph Manley and a sister, Marjorie Martin.

The funeral will be Tuesday with mass of Christian burial at 10:00 A.M. in Immaculate Conception Church, East Gibson St. and Taylor Ave., East Scranton. Interment in Dunmore Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at the church Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time mass.

In lieu of flowers  preferred memorial contributions may be made to the  Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Eastern Pa. Chapter C/O 961 Marcon Blvd. Suite 452, Allentown, Pa. 18109

Arrangements are under the care and direction of The Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home  Inc., Dunmore.
