Florence M. Mancuso, 96, Scranton, died Wednesday morning in the Dunmore Health Care Center.  Her husband, the late Anthony Mancuso died in 1962.

 Born in Dunmore, daughter of the late Sebastian and Carmella Summa Maro, she attended Scranton public schools. Prior to retirement, she worked as a seamstress at the Scranton Garment Company and was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America.  She was a member of the former Holy Family Church, and was presently a member of St. Paul’s Church. 

 Surviving is a brother and caregiver Nicholas Maro, Dunmore; as well as nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.  She was also preceded in death by sisters Grace Theophila, Rose McDonnell and Jean Lewert; and brothers Anthony, Angelo, Joseph, Daniel, Frank and Vito Maro.

 Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Paul’s Church, Penn Ave., Scranton.  Friends may call Friday morning in the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service.  Interment, Dunmore Cemetery.

Childhood memories of her visits to Scotch Plains and my visits to Scranton abound when I think of Aunt Florence. She was a wonderful, beautiful lady. Love and Condolences to all.
