Catherine “Katie” Corazzi, Dunmore, died Sunday afternoon in the VNA Hospice at Community Medical Center.  She was the wife of the late Mario Corazzi who died in 1999.

 Born in Dunmore, daughter of the late Charles A. and Bernetta Coviello Pace, she was a graduate of Dunmore High School and was a member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be missed more than words can express.  She greatly enjoyed visits with her great-grandchildren and also spending time with her four-legged companion, her golden retriever, Faeden. 

 The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. John Cipriano, her physician of many years, the nursing staff of Four South at Allied Skilled Nursing Center, as well as the nursing staff of VNA Hospice at Community Medical Center for the compassion and love shown to Katie during her illness.

 Surviving is a daughter Carol Mallas and husband Robert, Dunmore; a brother August Pace and wife Violet, Dunmore; a sister Rose Mary Pace, Scranton; sister-in-law Ruth Pace, Dunmore; a grandson Robert Mallas, Jr. and wife Kristi, Falls; great-grandchildren Jacob and Aaron Mallas, Falls; nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by brothers Carmen Pace and an infant.

 Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith St., Dunmore.  There are no public calling hours.  Friends are asked to go directly to the church.  Interment, Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Dunmore.

 Memorial contribution may be made to VNA Hospice and Home Health of Lackawanna County
