Angeline M. Boniello, formerly of Dunmore, died Wednesday in the Gino Merli Veterans Center in Scranton. Her husband, the late Frank P. Boniello, to whom she was married for 65 years, died July 8, 2011.
Born in Castelmauro Campobasso, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Beniamino and Felicia Petrillo Gallucci.
She attended Dunmore Public Schools and was a member of SS Anthony and Rocco Parish, Dunmore and prior to retirement she was employed in the local garment industry and was a member of the I.L.G.W.U.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who enjoyed her family, cooking and baking.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Gino Merli Veterans Center Alzheimer’s Unit for all their dedicated care.
Also surviving are three sons, Joseph, Roaring Brook Twp.; Frank and wife Rosemary, Scranton; and David and wife Michele, Dunmore; a daughter, Ann Boniello, Dunmore; six grandchildren, Bonita Boniello, Zurich, Switzerland; Monica Reilly, Luton Beds, England; Stephanie, Zachary, and Luke Boniello, Scranton; and Nikolaos Boniello, Jessup; a great granddaughter, Felicity Angeline Reilly, Luton Beds, England. Four sisters, Mary Valvano and husband, John, Dunmore, Ann Covey and husband, Don, Fayetteville, Arkansas, Christine Lucas and husband, Joseph, Dunmore and Carmella Aten, Courtdale, Pa. and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Karwoski and two infant sisters.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with mass at 11:00 A.M. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith St., Dunmore. Interment St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Dunmore.
