Pauline E. Stasko, 87, Dunmore, died Thursday morning in the NEPA Hospice at Regional Hospital of Scranton.  Her husband, the late Stephen Stasko, died in March 1991.

Born in Jessup, daughter of the late John and Pauline Frankovicz Yourgosky, she attended Jessup public schools and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Dunmore. Prior to marriage and raising a family, she was employed as a seamstress in a local silk mill.  She was a loving mother and wife who enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren. 

Surviving are two sons Thomas J. Stasko, Dunmore, and Stephen F. Stasko and his wife Catherine, Chambersburg, PA; twin daughters Marianne Ryder and husband James, Clarks Summit, and Theresa Donnini and husband Fred, Lake Ariel; two grandchildren Lauren and Tom Ryder, Clarks Summit; and a sister Magdeline Puchalski and her husband Joseph, Clark, NJ. 

She was preceded in death by a son Michael in 1965, as well as four sisters and two brothers. 

The funeral will be Tuesday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with mass at 9:30 a.m. in the St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, Chestnut St., Dunmore.  Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery, Throop. 

Friends may call in the funeral home Monday evening from 5-8 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen, 500 Penn Ave. Scranton 18510.

To Aunt Pauline's sons (Steven & Thomas), daughters (Marianne & Theresa) and Aunt Madge, I wish to express my sincere condolences. I will keep Aunt Pauline in my prayers as well as all of you. JOE
