Mark D. Paskert, 50, Dunmore, died Saturday evening in the Community Medical Center. He and his wife the former, Maureen Kern celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary on April 27th.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Vincent and Sandra Santarelli Paskert. Mark was a graduate of Bishop O’Hara High School Class of 1979 and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Scranton in 1984. Prior to retirement he worked as a sales representative in the pharmaceutical industry. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Dunmore.
Mark was a hero and inspiration to everyone that would meet him, but especially for his two daughters and wife to whom he was totally devoted and was his entire world. His strong, never complaining attitude in the face of adversity and challenges was a prime example of this. He had a magnetic personality, drawing many friends and family toward him, even those he had just met for the first time. His infectious laugh made people smile no matter how they felt at that moment in time. He absolutely loved being surrounded by family and friends at gatherings and parties and his fondness of Notre Dame Football was known to all. It goes without saying that Mark will be missed by his loving family and friends more than words can express.
